Meet Jordyn: The Heart Behind Goswick Photography


Hi, I’m Jordyn, the photographer behind Goswick Photography. Photography has been part of my life since 2020, when I first started shooting as a hobby. Over the years, that hobby grew into something I became more and more passionate about, and in 2025 I officially stepped into photography professionally. What started as simply enjoying taking pictures has become something I genuinely love—documenting people, relationships, milestones, and all the little moments that make life feel personal.


Outside of photography, a huge part of my life is being a paramedic. Working in EMS has shaped who I am as a person. It has taught me how to stay calm when things are chaotic, communicate with all kinds of people, adapt quickly, and appreciate just how fast life can change. I think that perspective follows me into photography too. I notice the small moments, the expressions people don’t realize they’re making, and the little interactions that may not seem important at the time but can mean everything years down the road.


Being a paramedic and a photographer might seem like two completely different worlds, but for me they actually have a lot in common. Both involve people trusting me during important moments in their lives. Sometimes those moments are exciting, sometimes emotional, sometimes chaotic, and sometimes completely unexpected. I take that trust seriously, whether I’m on an ambulance or standing behind a camera.


When I’m not working EMS or carrying a camera around, I’m usually reading, listening to music, watching TV or movies, spending time with family, or finding an excuse to be outside. I love animals, rodeos, nature, and getting to explore new places with my camera. I’m also a huge reader, especially when it comes to darker romance and psychological books, and there’s a pretty good chance I have an audiobook or playlist going while I’m editing.


Personality-wise, I’m pretty laid-back and easygoing, and I try to bring that same energy into every session. I know standing in front of a camera can feel awkward, especially if you’ve never had professional photos taken before. I don’t expect you to show up knowing how to pose. I’ll guide you, give you prompts, talk with you, make you laugh, and help things feel natural. I want your session to feel like an experience you actually enjoyed, not an hour of wondering what you’re supposed to do with your hands.


I photograph weddings, couples, families, maternity, newborns, seniors, and other special moments throughout the Bryan–College Station area and surrounding Central Texas communities. I love photographing all different stages of life, but weddings and couples have definitely become some of my favorites. There’s something special about documenting the connection between two people, especially the little looks, laughs, touches, and reactions that happen when they forget the camera is there.


When it comes to weddings, I care about so much more than just getting the traditional posed photos. Of course, we’re going to get those beautiful portraits you’ll want framed on your walls, but I’m also watching everything happening around you. Your mom fixing your dress, your best friend trying not to cry, your grandparents dancing, your fiancé looking at you from across the room, the laughter during speeches, and all of the tiny details you spent months planning. I want your gallery to show what your wedding looked like, but more importantly, I want it to remind you what it felt like.


I’m also the kind of photographer who genuinely wants to hear about what you’re planning. Tell me about your venue, your dress, your flowers, the ideas you found on Pinterest, the traditions that matter to you, the things you’re nervous about, and the photos you absolutely have to have. I love getting to know my clients because I don’t ever want someone to feel like they’re just another appointment on my calendar.


Goswick Photography has grown from a hobby I started in 2020 into a professional business that I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m still constantly learning, growing, and finding new ways to create photographs that feel meaningful. This blog will be a place where I can share more than just finished photos — recent sessions, weddings, favorite venues, planning tips, behind-the-scenes moments, photography advice, and pieces of my life outside of photography as well.
